Traveling by Plane

Airport Distances from Roslyn Claremont Hotel:

Delta and USAir shuttles from Boston or Washington DC:

USAir and Delta Airlines run frequent shuttle services to LaGuardia which can be relatively inexpensive if you purchase in advance. However, some flights popular times for business travelers are significantly more expensive.

Southwest:

You can fly Southwest Airlines into Long Island MacArthur Airport less expensively from many cities.

Virgin America from Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Los Vegas, or Washington:

If you live in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Los Vegas, or Baltimore/Washington areas, consider flying on Virgin America (http://virginamerica.com).  The Virgin Group has a proven history of investing in environmentally sound practices, and Virgin America donates a percentage of all profits to environmental causes, has partnered with carbonfund.org to allows passengers to buy carbon offsets when booking a flight, (see information at carbonfund.org,) and has donated significant amounts of money to the California State Parks Foundation for environmental restoration projects across Northern California.


Transportation from the Airports to Roslyn Claremont Hotel

Super Shuttle provides shared van service from all three area airports. The one-way cost to the Roslyn Claremont Hotel ranges from about $41 for the first person from LaGuardia or Kennedy with an $8 charge for each additional passenger to $52 for the first person from MacArthur with a $9 charge for each additional passenger.


Traveling by Train

Amtrak:

You can take Amtrak into New York Penn Station. From Penn Station, you can take the Long Island Rail Road out to Long Island (see below).

Long Island Rail Road:

For travel from New York City to Long Island, you can take the Long Island Railroad from New York Penn Station to a few train stations in the area. If you are staying at the Roslyn Claremont, the closest train station is Roslyn. If you are not staying at the Roslyn Claremont, ask your hotel for the nearest train station and if taxis will be available. Please note that taxis are not inexpensive on Long Island.

From LaGuardia Airport:

Take the Grand Central Parkway East to the Long Island Expressway. Follow the L.I.E. East. Take the L.I.E. to exit 37 (Willis Ave./Roslyn). Get off exit and stay on service road. At 2nd light make a left onto Roslyn Road. Go straight to the 5th light and bear left onto Old Northern Blvd. Hotel is about 100 yards up on the right.  

From Kennedy Airport:

Take the Cross Island Parkway North to the L.I.E. East. Take the L.I.E. to exit 37 (Willis Ave./Roslyn). Get off exit and stay on service road. At 2nd light make a left onto Roslyn Road. Go straight to the 5th light and bear left onto Old Northern Blvd. Hotel is about I 00 yards up on the right.

From MacArthur Airport:
